This fertile valley to the West of Bethlehem is a perfect example of ancient Palestinian farming traditions but unfortunately also a good example of Palestine`s history.
It was attacked and destroyed in 1948, like hundreds of Palestinian villages during the Nakba. Our people were forced to join the thousands of refugees in the camps but kept returning to our lands. In the seventies we were finally able to return to rebuild our village on the 30% that was left.
But once again our village is threatened from all sides by construction, the planned route of the Apartheid wall as well as vandalism by Israeli settlers. We need your support to stand through these difficult times.
